Agapé Hospice and Hospice Care of South Carolina Rebrand as Agape Care Forming Leading Hospice and Palliative Care Provider in the State of South Carolina
Spartanburg, SC, September 30, 2020 – Hospice Care of South Carolina and Agapé Hospice are now together under one name — Agape Care. In January 2020, Hospice Care of South Carolina, a portfolio company of the Vistria Group acquired Agapé Hospice, forming the leading hospice care provider in the state of South Carolina. The merged organization serves all 46 counties in the state with a team of ~900 employees caring for more than 1,500 patients.
Agape Care provides care through three main programs:
- Adult Hospice Care: Specialized end-of-life care for patients in the final phase of illness.
- Adult Palliative Care: Comfort care that provides relief to patients undergoing curative treatments.
- Hands of Hope Pediatric Care: Palliative and concurrent care for any child experiencing a life-limiting illness.
Agape Care also provides access to inpatient hospice care through its four hospice houses located across the state in Columbia, Lexington, Summerville, and Landrum where patients can receive state-of-the-art medical care.
